Python & Data Science
Todd teaches the Global Knowledge Python curriculum and Python seminars since 2015. He teaches basic and advanced Python curriculum, topics in the advanced curriculum include: Relational Databases with SQLAlchemy, NoSQL, and databases with MongoDB. He also teaches Building web apps with Pyramid, building redistributables, and others. Plans for 2017 include developing a Data Science department for Virtuant.
Todd's a song writer. He's written many songs, learned multiple instruments and studio recording software.
James has been with the company for 3 years and has created impressive course curriculum and Powerpoint instructional slides for AWS, BigData with Hadoop, Docker, Kubernetes, Git and more. He has designed and implemented virtual learning environments, using VirtualBox, VMWare, Docker, and various LMS and VLE resources.
James taught on-site and remote classes to international sessions of 10-50 students, balancing cultural, economic, and experiential learning curves. Client point-of-contact, coordinating numerous multi-stage projects in parallel, along with pre- and post-production support.
Jose Marcial Portilla
Jose Marcial Portilla has a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University and years of experience as a professional instructor and trainer for Data Science and programming. He has publications and patents in various fields such as microfluidics, materials science, and data science technologies.
As the head of Data Science for Pierian Data he provides in-person data science and python training courses to a variety of companies all over the world, including top banks such as Credit Suisse.

He effectively managed client relationships in developing business development strategies across all channels by designing and promoting tactics to achieve market share and revenue targets. His accomplishments in becoming a trusted advisor to all levels of senior management is excellent.
He is a best-practice expert in software development life cycle implementations, and training of Business Intelligence, Enterprise Performance Management and Output Management solutions. He is holder of certifications in data modeling, data warehousing best practices, and IBM’s project management.

Daniel is a Senior Rated Technical Instructor with 12 years of technical personnel management experience. He has amassed over 2000 hours of technical instruction on topics such as Advanced Electronics, Network+, A+, and Component Level Trouble Shooting. As a curriculum developer he has developed classes on Network+, Electronics repair, and on Aeroflex Automated test sets ran on Python. He is accustomed to teaching in classrooms and webinars ranging from 20 to 200 students at a time.
While in the Marine Corps Daniel Taught several non-technical courses as well both as a Combat Marksmanship Instructor and as a License Examiner for Tactical Vehicles.
He is highly effective in the communication of technical information to both non-technical and technical audiences alike. Articulate, continually positive, high energy professional with an infectious enthusiasm for all things tech related.
